Oakland County, Michigan – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office has announced an indictment against a convicted felon in the Christmas Eve shooting of 71-year-old Dr. Barbara Wolf.
According to OCSO, 29-year-old Malik Letroy Webb is charged in the shooting. He is accused of shooting the victim multiple times after she stopped to assist him.
Webb had driven his vehicle into a ditch on Ray Road and North Oxford Road around 6:15 p.m. on December 24. Authorities say Wolf had a longtime affiliation with McLaren Health Care.
Webb has been charged with one count of Felony Murder, three counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, three counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carjacking, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Weapons – Firearm – Possession by a Prohibited Person, and nine counts of Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony – Third Offense.
Authorities say a witness told investigators that Wolf’s vehicle had pulled behind Webb’s. Wolf’s 38-year-old daughter was a passenger in the vehicle. Investigators believe Wolf stopped to help Webb when she was fatally shot.
The daughter was also shot.
