Anthony Marcquis Murphy is facing multiple misdemeanor charges for harassment and disorderly conduct.

Officers with the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department responded to the Wyoming Valley Mall at 2:53 p.m. on December 22, 2023, to investigate a disturbance. Officers made contact with Mirakuya management in regard to the disturbance.

Officers learned that Murphy entered Mirakuya demanding to be made a partner. Management told Murphy that they do partnerships. Murphy began yelling, making racially charged statements, and engaging in tumultuous behavior. Murphy threatened and spat at an elderly man and a juvenile before fleeing into the mall.

Officers requested Murphy’s ID which he refused to provide. Murphy continued causing a disturbance while being detained.
