The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of his father.

Authorities say 27-year-old Garry Charles Bartlett Jr. was arrested in relation to a deadly shooting on Fawn Lake Drive in the Dreekcreek area on Wednesday morning.

Police say officers responded to the scene where they found an adult male victim deceased with gunshot wounds. Police say the victim was identified as 69-year-old Garry Bartlett Sr. who was the suspect’s father.

Detectives arrested the 27-year-old for murder and booked him into the Duval County Jail.
