The Elk Grove Police Department has arrested a 27-year-old and three juveniles in connection to a vehicle burglary at a senior living complex. EGPD reports that officers responded to a senior living complex on the death side of town for a vehicle burglary in progress around 2 a.m. on June 13, 2024.
At the scene, officers found that three vehicles had been broken into. Officers gathered vehicle and suspect descriptions from a witness. A short time later, officers found the suspect vehicle in a nearby shopping center and saw multiple individuals running into a store.
EGPD officers detained all suspects. When the vehicle was searched, EGPD says it recovered stolen property from the vehicle burglaries. 27-year-old Dayshia Gaines and three juveniles were arrested.
