A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting at the Shoreham Apartments in Albany, Georgia. The Albany Police Department reports that its officers responded to the 2200 block of Champagne Lane in reference to a shooting around 12:11 a.m. on August 10, 2024.

At the scene, officers found 19-year-old Eboni Nicole Hood deceased inside a bedroom of her upstairs apartment with a gunshot wound to the face. APD says 21-year-old J’Shon Davyen Price was taken into custody at the scene.

Price allegedly told authorities that he accidentally shot his girlfriend. APD says Price was charged with Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Aggravated Assault based on the evidence collection.

APD confirms Hood and Price had been residing at the apartment together.
