20-year-old Bristol Township woman charged with lying about attempted rape and kidnapping that left man incarcerated for 31 days

A 20-year-old woman from Bristol Township has been charged with filing a false police report in reference to an attempted rape and kidnapping. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office reports that 20-year-old Anjela Borisova Urumova was charged with filing a false police report on May 20, 2024.

The alleged rape and kidnapping occurred in the parking lot of the Redner’s in Middletown Township last month. Urumova is charged with one count of False Alarm to an Agency of Public Safety, one count of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, two counts of False Reports, and three counts of Unsworn Falsification of Authorities.

Urumova was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility under $30,000 bail 10%. The man implicated by Urumova, Daniel Pierson, was freed from BCCF on Friday and the charges against him were dropped.

Middletown Township Police say they collected and reviewed surveillance video from retailers in the area. A Bucks County District Attorney’s Office detective carried out a forensic review of Urumova’s cellphone data.

The review reportedly uncovered several inconsistencies and contradictory information with Uruomova’s account of the attack. On Friday, she allegedly admitted to lying about the entire incident when confronted by detectives.

As a result of the false accusations, Pierson was charged with multiple felony offenses and was incarcerated for 31 days.
