The Allegheny County Police Department has announced charges against a 17-year-old in connection with a homicide in McKees Rocks. According to ACPD, County 911 received a notification of a shooting in the area of 3rd Street and Boquet Street around 5:16 p.m. on March 4, 2024. At the scene, officers found a 19-year-old male victim who had been shot multiple times.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim was later identified as Ronald Fuller. Detectives say the suspect approached and shot at the victim hitting him multiple times. The suspect also fatally shot a neighbor’s dog.
Detectives say four innocent bystanders, including children, had to take cover during the shooting. They identified the suspect as 17-year-old Tavarius Lee of Pittsburgh. On the afternoon of March 25, 2024, Lee was taken into custody following a traffic stop.
He is facing charges of homicide, aggravated cruelty to animals, and recklessly endangering another person.
