Wilmington Police investigating shooting with two injuries at Frog Pond Place

Wilmington, North Carolina – The Wilmington Police Department announced in a news release that it is investigating a double shooting on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the news release, WPD officers responded to a Shot Spotter activation in the 3500 block of Frog Pond Place around 2:12 p.m. on December 18.

WPD says officers found evidence of a shooting and discovered that two people were injured during the incident. Those individuals were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not provided any suspect description or said what led up to the shooting at this time.
