Westminster, Colorado – Westminster Police say they are investigating a fatal shooting on Wednesday night.

According to a WPD social media statement, officers responded to the scene of a shooting in the 14700 block of Orchard Parkway around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

WPD says responding officers found a deceased male with a gunshot wound. Authorities say the preliminary information indicates that a male suspect took off following the shooting.

According to police, it is believed the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. Police have not said anything about a suspect description or what led up to the shooting at this time.
