Update – The Volusia Sheriff’s Office reports that its detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that was reported around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday. Authorities say a Port Orange man was fatally shot when he drove his truck at two people during a neighborhood altercation.
Detectives responded to a shooting on Jackson Lane off Tomoka Farms Road west of Port Orange. Police say the shooter and witnesses remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The deceased was reportedly found in the driver’s seat of his pickup truck when authorities reached the scene.
Detectives say that 47-year-old Marcus Blicker started following and erratically swerving at two vehicles driven by a neighbor’s son and his friend after they drove past his house in their vehicles. The son called his father and told him he was being followed.
When they reached the house, Blicker allegedly pulled in too and started yelling and threatening the two drivers. Police say the father came outside with a rifle and told Blicker to leave. He also reportedly fired warning shots in the air.
It is alleged that Blicker’s truck reversed for a minute before speeding toward the father and another person. Florida officials say the father fired several shots at the truck before it came to a stop in the front yard.
Police say the incident was captured on video and audio recordings. They reportedly support the accounts of the shooter and witnesses. No criminal charges have been filed at this time. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office says a Rottweiler dog in Blicker’s truck was also injured but it’s expected to recover.

It is absolutely cruel and disgusting that the VICTIM of this crime is being BLAMED for what happened. You shouldn’t be posting false claims to the internet without knowing the entirety of the whole story.
This “feud” as you call it, had been going on for months. Those MEN (not CHILDREN) had been terrorizing the neighbors by running over mailboxes, knocking down and vandalizing fences, tearing up people’s yards/grass by skidding through and slamming the breaks in the middle of the night in their trucks. One of those neighbors is a widowed elderly woman who works very hard to take care of her property. Marcus helped her clean up THEIR MESS on her property on multiple occasions. Because that’s what kind of person HE was. Those MEN consistently blew through that area at speeds 20+MPH over the limit KNOWING that SMALL CHILDREN played in and around those streets. Marcus’s OWN CHILD was almost run over by one of those miscreants who was swerving in the street going way faster than the speed limit. He was a protective father who simply wanted answers and wanted the terror to end.
Marcus NEVER would have harmed anyone unless he personally felt that his own life (or someone he loved) was in jeopardy. The man who MURDERED Marcus is only getting away with this because of his friends within the Sheriff’s Office. Now one of my best friend’s is dead, we are all left grieving and without answers, and “Billy” is free to walk around and live his life while being glorified in these biased articles.
That man chased Marcus down with a gun in his hands and my friend was scared, no, TERRIFIED for his life. Nobody is saying that he took the right avenue in confronting the reckless drivers, but his actions certainly never warranted what happened to him. The facts are clear: Billy was shooting with the INTENT to kill. Marcus was unarmed, attempting to leave the scene, and contained inside his vehicle. Shouting is not illegal. The only potential threat in this scenario was the man holding the gun.
If you check out @RevvedUpArt on TikTok you will quickly see that Marcus’s life motto was “Follow Your Heart” and everything he ever did in life was for his family and friends. He did nothing except spread joy and positivity to every person he met. He had aspirations for the future and carried his heart on his sleeve. Marcus Blicker is the kind of man who would give you the shirt off of his back if you asked for it. He’s the kind of friend that makes you feel right at home as soon as he starts talking and immediately, you can’t help the big smile that spreads across your face. His happiness and joy were contagious. And in an instant, the light he brought to this twisted world was immediately snuffed out. He died trying to defend his family and his neighbors. Marcus was a hero who was wrongfully killed and the media is aiding in covering it up. He deserves justice.
Guess you didn’t watch the video where golden boy Marcus was trying to run the guy over in his own yard. Maybe Mr. Shirt off his back should have thought about that before endangering lives with his vehicle.
