The Birmingham Police Department reports that it is on the scene of a double homicide in the 1300 block of Princeton Southwest. Birmingham Police says its officers responded to the area just before 9:30 p.m. for a vehicle on the sidewalk with bullet holes.

BPD says officers reached the scene and found one man and one woman inside the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police confirm that the victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A witness observed the vehicle slowly rolling backward before coming to a stop in front of an abandoned home, according to police. The passerby saw bullet holes in the vehicle and called 911.

BPD confirms no one is in custody at this time.
