Authorities in McLean County, Illinois are investigating a possible homicide after a man was found deceased in a ditch. McLean County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of 1375 East Road and 700 North Road around 7 AM on November 25 for a report of a female looking for a male. It was alleged that the male was a victim of violence. Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived and began searching for the victim. The investigation led deputies and officers with the Bloomington Police Department to an apartment in the 1600 block of Springfield Road in Bloomington.
Authorities say a search warrant was served at the residence and two subjects were detained from the apartment. The McLean County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a man lying in a ditch near Route 136 and 1025 East Road around 12:30 PM. Upon arrival, deputies located an unresponsive male in the ditch off 1025 East Road. The McLean County Coroner’s Office pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The name of the victim will be released by the McLean County Coroner’s Office at a later time. Since this is an ongoing investigation, no further information is available at this time.
