Tulsa Police arrest man with no driver’s license or insurance in deadly hit and run

The Tulsa Police Department has announced the arrest of Juan Torres in connection to a deadly hit-and-run collision. According to TPD, officers responded to an injury collision near 6800 East Easton Street around 10:30 p.m. on December 1, 2024.

At the scene, officers found Tulsa Fire Department firefighters attempting lifesaving measures on a man victim. TPD says the victim passed away at the scene.

Officers found car parts in the street near the victim suggesting a hit-and-run had occurred, according to police. TPD says Juan Torres called in later and said he had hit the victim.

Officers responded to his residence where they found a 2002 Chevy Avalanche with front-end damage. Police say Torres was arrested for Leaving the Scene of a Fatality Collision, No Driver’s License, and No Insurance.
