The Tulsa Police Department has announced the arrest of a man for allegedly running over and killing another man.

According to TPD, officers responded to a home near 500 North Norwood for a call about an injury collision around 4:10 a.m. on December 1, 2024. Police say they found a victim suffering from severe injuries from where he had been run over by a vehicle.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. TPD has identified the victim as 49-year-old Shane Thompson.

Detectives say the victim and suspect were in an argument when the suspect got into his car and ran over the victim. TPD has identified the suspect as Ricky Juarez.

Police arrested Ricky Juarez for 1st Degree Murder. Police say Juarez is a tribal member and falls under the McGirt Ruling.
