Tigard, Oregon – The Tigard Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect following a deadly collision. According to TPD, the crash happened around 12:35 a.m. on Highway 99W and Southwest Canterbury Lane.
The collision involved a Ford F-150 and a sedan. Police say the driver and sole occupant of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the F-150 and his juvenile son were not physically hurt. Authorities say the driver, 44-year-old Jason Burgess, has been arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail.
Burgess is charged with Second-Degree Manslaughter, DUII – Alcohol, Recklessly Endangering, and Reckless Driving. The victim is not being identified at this time.
