On November 16, 2023, Attorney General Chris Carr announced that members of the Marlo Gang had been convicted of a quadruple shooting that claimed the lives of two juveniles. 28-year-old Rodderick Glanton, 28-year-old Homer Upshaw, and 31-year-old Terrance Upshaw were found guilty on multiple counts of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, and Aggravated Assault.
Columbus police responded to Wilson Apartment Complex on June 14, 2021, at around 10 p.m. to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located four victims suffering gunshot wounds inside two damaged vehicles.
CCTV footage revealed three males inside a home adjacent to the apartment complex firing at a vehicle driven by Jesse Ransom, 17, of Columbus. Terrance and Homer Upshaw, and Rodderick Glanton occupied the home.
Ransom and a rear seat passenger, 18-year-old passenger, Saiveon Pugh, were killed. Two other male passengers survived their injuries.
Glanton, and Homer and Terrance Upshaw are scheduled to be sentenced on November 29, 2023.
