On April 4, 1991, Angela Marie Hammond found herself using a payphone in downtown Clinton, Missouri. She called her fiancé, Rob Shafer, to let him know that she would not be meeting up as initially planned. She noticed a green pick-up truck circling the parking lot. It stopped nearby and the driver jumped out.
Angie told her fiancé about the man and gave him a description. The stranger picked up the other phone and put it back down. Angela asked the man if he needed to use the phone and he said he’d try again later. Rob listened as a struggle ensued. Once it ended, Rob heard the man said “I didn’t need to use the phone anyway”. Rob jumped into his vehicle and rushed to the scene.
Along the way, he passed a green pick-up truck matching the description provided by Angie. As the truck passed, he heard someone screaming his name so he turned around to give chase. Unfortunately, the vehicle’s transmission was severely damaged.
It would come to a stop ending the chase abruptly. The vehicle allegedly carrying Angie and her abductor disappeared for good. In this video, N’ Cuffs will retell the 1991 disappearance of Angela Marie Hammond. We also discuss the 1991 disappearances of Trudy Darby, Cheryl Ann Kenney, and Karol Marlene Sullens. Could those cases be connected?
