Kelsey Burnette was murdered in Etowah, Tennessee. She attended a party with her boyfriend and others on Athens Pike on June 30, 2017. Initially, reports indicated that Kelsey had been seen walking through Etowah around 5 AM.
Then, she would disappear. After being reported missing by her family on July 1, 2017, investigators began searching for evidence. They would find Kelsey’s SIM card in the toilet at her home.
Her car was still there as well. Her wallet and clothes were untouched. While searching the house where the party took place, police discovered a baseball bat in the yard. Could it be the murder weapon?
Sadly, Kelsey’s body was discovered on July the 4th. Since then, police arrested Joseph Wielzen. Joseph is now on trial and that is expected to last 5 to 10 days. A verdict could be on the way as early as next week.
