According to a social media post from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a man allegedly involved in a homicide on Sanchez Ranch Lane in Wimauma on September 23 had turned himself into deputies. On September 23, 2023, deputies responded to a homicide on Sanchez Ranch Lane. Deputies obtained a warrant for 21-year-old Osmin Castillo for 2nd Degree Murder.

During the investigation, detectives discovered that Castillo had allegedly been having a sexual relationship with a child under the age of 16. Authorities say Osmin Castillo turned himself into Orient Road Jail on November 19, 2023. Castillo is facing the following charges.

• Murder in the Second Degree with a Weapon
• Lewd and Lascivious Battery x 9
• Possession of Child Pornography x 3
• In State Transmission of Child Pornography by Electronic Devices x 3
• Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance x 3
