Fort Worth Police Department indicated in a press conference that a Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office deputy had been shot at 6454 Brentwood Stair Road, which is the address for the Fort Worth Community Credit Union. The first 911 call regarding the shooting was received at 3:42 p.m. from the business. Multiple officers arrived at the scene at 3:43 p.m. The deputy was working in full uniform when he was shot.

Following an investigation, officers apprehended a suspect. The deputy has been transported to an area hospital and taken to surgery. The deputy’s condition is not known at this time.

Authorities refused to comment on the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
