Stockton, California – The Stockton Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to a fatal shooting on April 12, 2023.
According to SPD, officers responded to Unity Park in the 2700 block of Jayden Way for a report of a person shot.
Police say a 16-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound and a 17-year-old male had been pistol-whipped.
The 16-year-old passed away at an area hospital. On January 7, 2025, SPD Investigators and Detectives arrested 21-year-old Guillermo Lopez Jr. in Hayward, California.
Lopez was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for homicide.
