Stockton, California – The Stockton Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a fatal shooting on Gareth Circle. According to SPD, officers responded to the 2400 block of Gareth Circle for a person shot around 11 a.m. on January 1, 2025.

At the scene, SPD officers found a 47-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

SPD detectives have announced the arrest of 20-year-old Jkwon Williams. Authorities say Williams is the victim’s son and was apprehended within a few hours of the shooting.

Williams has been booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on voluntary manslaughter and weapons charges.
