The South Portland Police Department is currently searching for the two young suspects. SPPD reports that it is investigating events that occurred at and near the Long Creek Youth Development Center on Friday night.

SPPD officers responded to an attempted escape at Long Creek just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday. A short time later, police responded to a report of a strong-armed robbery with threat of a firearm at a parking lot at 10 Liberty Lane.

SPPD says no weapon was observed. Two young male suspects fled the scene in a stolen white Honda Civic with Maine Barbara Bush plate number 401BBK. Anyone who spots the vehicle is asked to call 911.
