The Scranton Police Department has announced the arrest of a robbery suspect in two incidents that occurred on Black Friday.
According to SPD, detectives with SPD’s Major Crimes Unit and SPD Street Crime Officers arrested 47-year-old Guy Frankel following a five-day investigation.
Police say Frankel is accused of attempting to rob the PNC Bank and robbing the Sunoco Gas Station and assaulting the clerk using pepper spray.
Frankel was transported to the Lackawanna County Processing Center. He is charged with two counts of Strong Armed Robbery, two counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking, three counts of Simple Assault, and one count of Receiving Stolen Property.
He is being held at Lackawanna County Prison on $100,000 bail.
