Woodleaf, North Carolina – The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Elliott Rudolph Wilds in Woodleaf.

According to an RCSO statement, investigators are currently investigating a homicide at 137 Hardy Lane in Woodleaf. Police say deputies responded to the location in reference to a shooting around 2:38 p.m. on December 21.

Authorities found 45-year-old Wilds suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Wilds succumbed to his injuries. Investigators are currently working the scene.

RCSO confirms that no arrests have been made at this time. No suspect description has been provided by authorities. No other details are available.
