The Rochester Police Department is currently investigating an overnight stabbing. Around 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of State Street for a report of a person stabbed.

At the scene, officers found a 43-year-old man suffering from at least one stab wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say that an altercation ensued between the victim and the suspect inside an apartment. At some point during the altercation, the victim suffered a stab wound. No one is in custody at this time.
