Queensland Police are investigating the death of a child in Innisfail on Monday afternoon. According to authorities, officers responded to reports of a child found unresponsive in a vehicle at a Rankin Street address around 1 p.m.
Police say emergency services reached the scene and provided medical assistance but the child was pronounced deceased.
Queensland Police say the investigations are continuing and a report will be prepared by the coroner. No other details are available at this time.
