The Picayune Police Department reports that it has arrested a man in connection to a shooting in the area of Woodglen Cove on November 27, 2024.
According to PPD, no one was struck during the incident. The shooter was reportedly wearing a black hoodie and red pants when they decided to fire several shots at individuals in the area.
PPD says the shooter fled on foot following the shooting. Criminal Investigations Division Detectives say they identified the suspect as Davien Magee who was currently serving probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Police used his ankle monitoring device to track his location at the time of the shooting. On Wednesday morning, PPD says it arrested Magee who was still wearing the same clothes from the shooting.
Magee was booked into the Pearl River County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
