Pauling County, Georgia – The Pauling County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting on Windsor View Lane. According to PCSO, deputies responded to 46 Windsor View Lane in reference to a dispute call around 12:10 a.m. on December 17, 2024.

Authorities say responding deputies found numerous people near the roadway and a body on the ground. PCSO reports that deputies spoke to a female resident and learned that an earlier domestic dispute had taken place between the resident and her husband, Rick Reed of Villa Rica, Georgia.

Following the pursuit, a male friend of the female allegedly arrived and was involved in an altercation with Reed. Authorities say the male friend was shot by Reed near the roadway and succumbed to his injuries.

PCSO has identified the deceased as Abraham Suarez Santiago. Authorities have announced the arrest of Rick Joseph Reed on charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault.
