Orangeburg County, South Carolina – The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a 2023 Holly Hill murder.

According to a statement from Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, 32-year-old Antonio Nelson has been charged with Murder, Grand Larceny, and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.

Antonio Romel Nelson is charged in the death of Daniel Jermarl “JD” Devine. On September 14, 2023, investigators were informed of a deceased individual at a Schwartz Drive residence.

At the scene, investigators found a victim who had been stabbed to death. Sheriff Ravenell said that Nelson was taken into custody on January 10, 2025.
