Allen, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to the murders of 84-year-old Robert Peliti and 70-year-old Jackie Peliti.
According to a statement from the OSBI, Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a suspicious incident at a residence near State Highway 1 and County Road 1512 in Allen around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities say the victims were found severely injured. Jackie Peliti was pronounced deceased at the scene. OSBI says Robert was taken to an area hospital where he passed away later.
OSBI agents and deputies claim to have identified 42-year-old Richard Dewayne Chambers as a person of interest and also obtained information that he may be connected to a homicide in Midwest City.
According to the OSBI, Chambers was located in rural Hughes County and taken into custody on Wednesday morning.
