The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reports that it is investigating after the body of a young man was found floating in the water approximately 15 to 20 feet behind residences on Beachview Drive in Fort Walton Beach.

According to OCSO, the discovery was made around 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. Authorities say the circumstances surrounding the death are not known at this time.

However, OCSO says there are no initial indications of foul play. No other details are available at this time. OCSO says an autopsy will be performed by the District One Medical Examiner’s Office in Pensacola.
