Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrests Friar of Shalimar church on 30 counts of possession of child pornography

Okaloosa County, Florida – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Shalimar resident who serves as Friar of a Shalimar church.

Authorities say 64-year-old Frank Gough II was taken into custody on January 9, 2025 on 30 counts of possession of child pornography.

OCSO said in a social media statement that a search warrant was executed at Gough’s home on 8th Street. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip regarding uploaded child sexual images in May 2024.

OCSO says an investigation led to Gough’s house. During the search, authorities say they seized computer storage devices.

On those devices, investigators allegedly found extensive files of child pornography as well as video of a young female who appears to be between three and five years old.
