New Orleans, Louisiana – The New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to a NOPD release, Seventh District officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 8500 block of North I-10 Service Road around 6:55 p.m. At the scene, officers found an unresponsive male suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

NOPD says the victim was pronounced deceased by EMS. No one is in custody at this time and no suspect information is being provided by police.
