In March 2021, Julie Boxley allegedly killed her husband, 72-year-old Glen Andrews, owner of Glenn’s Smokehouse, in a house fire. The incident took place in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where Boxley intentionally set a house on fire in Ishpeming. Andrews was trapped in the house, according to an APNews press release.
Boxley is facing arson and first-degree murder charges. The 52-year-old is facing an unrelated charge for trying to kill her ex-husband, James Boxley, in Alger County in 2021. Mr. Boxley claims his then-wife tried to set him on fire while he was sleeping.
Boxley has a court appearance scheduled for November 27.
