McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrests Gregory Scheffer for alleged rape of victims under 12

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Gregory Scheffer for several sexual-related charges, including Rape and Sodomy. According to MCSO, it was notified by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee that an alleged sexual assault occurred and had been reported to them on December 8.

The victims’ father reportedly told authorities that his two daughters had made statements claiming they were sexually assaulted while visiting a residence in McCracken County.

Authorities say it was determined that the juveniles, who are under 12, were sexually assaulted multiple times by Scheffer. It is also alleged that the victims were subjected to extreme “punishments” along with sexual abuse.

Scheffer was taken into custody in Paducah, Kentucky and booked into the McCracken County Jail. The 30-year-old is charged with two counts of Sodomy 1st Degree, one count of Rape 1st Degree, one count of Sexual Assault 1st Degree, one count of Criminal Abuse 1st Degree, and one count of Incest.
