Marshalltown, Iowa – The Marshalltown Police Department has announced charges against three men in connection to a credit card fraud investigation.
According to MPD, a credit card skimming device was recovered from a gas pump at the Casey’s on West Lincoln Way in Marshalltown.
MPD says it has heard from over 30 victims who reported credit card fraud on their accounts as of January 3, 2025. Multiple victims reported that their cards were used at the Marshalltown Walmart and Git N Go.
Authorities used surveillance video to identify the suspects. MPD arrested three men on January 2 and 3. 38-year-old Alieski Perez Hernandez is charged with Identity Theft Under $1500 and Theft 3rd Degree.
30-year-old Yohannis Bacardi Bague is charged with Identity Theft Over $10,000, Theft 1st Degree, and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card over $10,000. 26-year-old Oscar Rodriguez Alcaraz is charged with Identity Theft Over $10,000, Theft 1st Degree, and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card Over $10,000.
MPD says more arrests are expected. Anyone with information is asked to call MPD at 641-754-5725.
