Marietta, Georgia – The Marietta Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a murder on Monday night.

According to an MPD statement, seventy-year-old Robert Baker was arrested for the murder of Daniel Lanard Richardson Jr.

Detectives say they managed to identify Baker using technology and witness statements. Authorities say the victim and suspect were acquaintances although the extent of their relationship is unknown.

Baker is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond. Baker is facing charges of Felony Murder, Felony Aggravated Assault, and Felony Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
