The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested a 27-year-old man for Reckless Homicide in the death of a three-month-old child.
According to MCSO, it is investigating the death of a three-month-old that occurred on November 20 in Norrie. MCSO says it has arrested a 27-year-old for First-Degree Reckless Homicide as part of the ongoing investigation.
Around 10:44 a.m. on November 20, Marathon County 911 received a medical call for a three-month-old unresponsive child. Deputies and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the child to an area hospital.
Authorities say the child passed away on November 22. Authorities say it was determined that the death was suspicious in nature. The 27-year-old man is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
His initial appearance is scheduled for February 20, 2025. The identity of the victim is being withheld, according to MCSO.
