Locked In Escape Room owner John Nicholls arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material

Clay County, Florida – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of the owner of the “Locked In” Escape Room, John R. Nicholls.

According to CCSO, Nicholls was arrested on 10 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. The Sheriff’s Office says detectives received multiple tips regarding child sexual abuse material and initiated an investigation.

The 63-year-old was allegedly linked to the investigation through his address in the Lookout Landing Subdivision and the business in Middleburg.

Authorities carried out search warrants at both locations on January 3, 2025. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call CCSO at 904-264-6512.
