Lewisville, Texas – The Lewisville Police Department has announced the arrest of 24-year-old Roger Jesus Herrera Rodriguez in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man at a birthday party this past weekend.

In a statement, police said that Rodriguez had been charged with murder. Around 5:15 a.m. on January 11, officers responded to a disturbance and gunshots in the 2100 block of Uecker Drive.

Police say they found a 28-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Rodriguez was booked into the Lewisville City Jail awaiting arraignment. Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the stabbing.
