According to a news release from Leicestershire Police, 34-year-old Daryoush Kholghnik was convicted on November 24 in the kidnap and murder of Tala Tala. Kholghnik was also convicted of two counts of blackmail.
38-year-old Talib Mombeini had previously pleaded guilty to the kidnap of Tala. Following a trial, Mombeini was found guilty of manslaughter and not guilty of murder. On Monday, Kholghnik was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 31 years. Authorities say Mombeini was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment.
Kholghnik and Mombeini were accused of kidnapping Tala Tala in the Braunstone area of Leicester around 11:30 PM on March 23 before driving him away in his own vehicle.
