The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after an injured man was found in a parking lot on East Charleston Boulevard. Just before 8:40 PM on November 24, LVMPD Dispatch received a report of an injured man lying in a parking lot in the 2800 block of East Charleston Boulevard, according to an LVMPD press release. Upon arrival, officers found a male suffering from blunt force injuries.
Once medical personnel responded, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. LVMPD Homicide Section investigators say the investigation indicates that the victim was standing outside a vehicle and involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown person inside the vehicle. When the vehicle drove off, it allegedly struck the victim.
Police say the suspect fled before officers arrived. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identification and cause of death at a later time.
