South Portland, Maine – The South Portland Police Department said in a media statement that an altercation at the Kobe Steakhouse led to a shooting incident around 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
According to SPPD, a 911 call reported a possible shooting in the parking lot of 380 Gorham Road around 5:13 p.m. SPPD says responding officers learned that an altercation occurred inside the restaurant between two sets of individuals.
The altercation led outside to the parking lot where a suspect from one group displayed a handgun and threatened the other group with it, according to police. The victims fled in a vehicle but were reportedly followed in a separate vehicle.
SPPD says both vehicles reached the intersection of Gorham Road and Western Avenue where the suspect fired the gun in the direction of the victim’s vehicle. The suspects fled onto Western Avenue.
According to the police station, the victim’s vehicle was struck by gunfire but no one was harmed. Detectives say they are still following up on potential leads, gathering evidence, and reviewing evidence.

According to SPPD, authorities are searching for 21-year-old Navinn Ean and 21-year-old Jonathan Hanson. Ean is charged with the following.
- Reckless Conduct With a Dangerous Weapon
- Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon
- Driving to Endanger
- 3x Violation of Condition of Release
Hanson is charged with the following.
- Reckless Conduct with a Dangerouas Weapon
- Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon
- Criminal Mischief
- Terrorizing
Police say they are trying to locate Ean’s blue 2018 four-door Dodge Charger with Maine license plate SRT74. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
