Update 3 – The Jackson Police Department has announced the arrest of a third suspect in connection to the Wallace Road shooting on November 26, 2024.

JPD says five victims were fatally shot and a two-year-old child succumbed to his injuries. JPD says Tarcus Wilkes was arrested around 9:30 a.m. on December 18.

 

Update 2 – The Jackson Police Department said it had arrested DeAndre Perry with assistance from the United States Marshals. Police say Perry was a suspect in the Wallace Road shooting on November 26 that led to five people being shot and a two-year-old child being killed.

According to JPD, DeAndre Perry will be formally charged in Jackson City Court tomorrow.

 

Update – The Jackson Police Department has provided an update on the shooting in the area of Wallace Road. Police say they found five individuals suffering from gunshot wounds inside an SUV.

The victims included four adults and a 2-year-old child. JPD has confirmed that the 2-year-old child had succumbed to their injuries. Police say persons of interest were developed using Shot Spotter, Flock Camera, and Blue Light cameras.

One person is in custody. No other details are available at this time.

JPD made the post just before 6:30 p.m. on November 26, 2024. JPD warns locals that streets are blocked in the area.
