Jackson, Tennessee – The Jackson Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting at the Red Dog Saloon Bar & Grill at 1450 South Highland Avenue.

According to JPD, officers responded to the establishment for reports of a shooting around 2:31 a.m. on January 4, 2025. Police say they found a man in the doorway suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. JPD says officers spoke with witnesses who provided information about a potential suspect.

Deputies with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department located the suspect’s vehicle and apprehended the suspect, according to JPD. No other details are available at this time.
