Hoover, Alabama – The Hoover Police Department said in a statement that it is investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old man around 5:51 p.m. on December 21, 2024.

According to APD, the 911 Center received a call about a man who had entered Office Depot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to UAB Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

HPD believes the victim was shot in the nearby Wendy’s parking lot. Police have not said anything about the suspect or what may have led up to the shooting.
