Hollister Police arrest 19-year-old for animal cruelty following viral video

Hollister, California – A viral video has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old woman, according to the Hollister Police Department. According to HPD, Animal Care and Services received a report from the Watsonville Police Department.

The report indicated that a viral video was circulating on Facebook showing a resident hitting her dog. Animal Control investigated the allegations. On December 19, HPD Animal Care and Services contacted several witnesses saying they knew the woman in the video.

The animal was seized and taken to a local vet for treatment. HPD says Animal Control Officers obtained an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Sophia Enfantino who was arrested for felony animal cruelty.
