Hillsborough Police in North Carolina are investigating a Thanksgiving shooting in the central part of town. According to a press release from the Hillsborough Police Department, officers responded UNC Hospitals Hillsborough Campus just after 7 PM on Thursday. Upon arrival, authorities learned that a man had admitted himself to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the back.
Investigators learned that a 33-year-old Burlington man had been shot on Spruce Street. The victim is in stable condition. Police believe the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
