The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that it has arrested a suspect wanted on charges of animal cruelty. According to HCSO, its Street Crimes Unit arrested 38-year-old Anita Damodaran at a residence off of Barbados Isle Drive in Tampa just after 5 p.m. on December 10.
Police say Damodaran had an active warrant for her arrest from the Chicago Police Department on charges of animal cruelty. Damodaran was booked into the Orient Road Jail.
The Chicago Police Department will extradite Damodaran to Illinois. HCSO has provided images of the dog showing its current condition. The images may be disturbing.
